In 15 short days we will crown Miss Delaware 2012. I'm excited for all of the contestants and the one young woman whose life is about to forever change but I am truly sad to say goodbye to Miss DE 2011 Kayla Martell. Kayla has been an exceptional Miss Delaware! She is intelligent, gracious, an amazing advocate, a truly humble person and a wonderful friend. The Miss Delaware shoes are always big ones to fill but there is no doubt that Kayla will be a hard act to follow. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for her. I am so proud of you Kayla!!
If you haven't already gotten your tickets to the pageant, be sure to do so soon. This is going to be a year that you don't want to miss. This year will mark the 70th Anniversary of the Miss Delaware Organization and 20-30 of our former Miss Delaware's will return to the stage and will also be available for a special autograph signing event (more details to follow).
