This is the 2011 Blogger's Getting to Know You. If you are reading this post and have a blog of your own you have been officially tagged (since I know of two people that this applies to...I'll be looking for it Denise and Destiny;-) ). You must answer the following questions in your own blog.
1. What did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be the President, a dancer, and/or a teacher.
2. What has been the biggest surprise of your life? How much I would love being a mom. I always wanted to be a mother but I had no idea about the all encompassing love that a mother can feel for their child. It honestly takes my breath away.
3. Name three things that you love (they can NOT be family related): thunderstorms, food:-), hotel rooms.
4. Name three of your guilty pleasures. Trashy romance novels, Toddlers and Tiaras/Dance Moms (I know both are horrible horrible shows but it's like a train wreck...I just can't look away), Pedicures.
5. When is the last time you were on an airplane and where did you go? I think it was to Texas on a business trip...super boring. The last fun trip was to Florida last October to go to Disney with my family.
6. Name one thing that is on your bucket list. Para-sailing! I have always wanted to try it...who doesn't want to fly like a bird?!
7. If you had a superhuman power what would it be? The ability to control time. That way I could slow down the good stuff and hurry through the business meetings:-)
8. Name three things that you are afraid of: Losing my loved ones; the dark (yea...I said it), not making the most of every moment that I have.
9. What is the most recent personal goal you have attained. Losing over 40 lbs and running in the Delaware Mudrun.
10. What is the best part of your life? My family....I am so blessed!!!!
11. Name three things that you couldn't live without (can't be family, church or job related). My camera (I love capturing every moment that I can), my cell phone (sad but true), my friends.
12. What is the bravest thing you have ever done? I'm not a very brave person but I would say standing between an angry abuser and his victim. I was terrified and it probably wasn't the smartest move I have ever made but I couldn't stand to see him hurt her again.
13. When you were a child, what "star" did you have a crush on? Ralph Machio (Karate Kid). Oh vey!
14. Name three things you love to do on a Sunday: Snuggle in bed with my family, cook dinner for my family, go to church.
15. Who is the first person you spoke to this morning? Brynn and Dan (I think it was at the same time)
16. Who is the last person that you kissed? Colton
17. What are you wearing right now? A denim dress and my new boots:-)
18. Who is the last person you texted? Denise
19. Name one thing you are looking forward to. Taking the kids to Sesame Place this weekend.
20. Why do you blog? I blog for me really. I think it's a fun way of keeping a journal but also keeping friends and family informed about life. I wish I had started it when the kids were younger!
