Giving Thanks

November means that it is time to start the annual Thankful Tree in the String Household.  I think it's important for all of us to remember how blessed we truly are and this is our fun way of doing it.

Each night we trace our hands to make "leaves" for our tree.  We write one thing that we are thankful for on each leaf and then hang it on our tree (which is prominently displayed on the back of our front door).  We look forward to doing it each night and it's fun to watch our tree grow.    What we are thankful for each day is usually a reflection of how the day has gone....you can find everything from wine to belly laughs on the tree.  I love to see what the kids come up with!

It's not quite done yet (we do it for the whole month)...I'll try to remember to post a pic of the complete tree.  On December 1st we take pictures of the tree and than take it down.
